Board of Education
About
The Bayless School Board is a vital part of the "public" in public education. District voters elect the seven board members to represent the public's views on how education should be governed locally. Board members are responsible for establishing the District's goals and policies and are the governing body on adopting school budgets and all fiscal matters. It's the superintendent's job, who represents the board, and the district staff to fulfill the board's wishes. The board welcomes and encourages public participation during its meetings. Members believe that good schools and the community nourish each other and that active citizen interest guarantees the excellence of public schools.
