In a recent budget workshop, the Bayless Board of Education decided to eliminate bus transportation to and from school beginning with the 2010-2011 school year. The state requires a school district to provide bus service for residents who live more than 3.5 miles from the school. Bayless does not have any students who live that distance from our buildings. To help increase safety, the District will add crossing guards at some busy intersections. Parents will need to make alternative arrangements, such as car pooling or walking groups, to ensure that their students get to school in the morning and home in the afternoon.
