Reading

Teaching students to read requires a lot of help from various
professionals and care givers. To help your child succeed, there are a
few things you can do at home.
1) Read with your child every day.
2) Discuss new words. For example, "This big house is called a palace.
Who do you think lives in a palace?"
3) Stop and ask questions about what is happening during the reading.
4) Read a variety of texts, including magazines, newspapers, picture
books, chapter books, and text books.
5) Encourage your child's successes and growth! Our kids work hard and
love to hear about it!
With all of us working together, anything is possible...
