"Only the educated are free." |

Dear Parents and Students:
I would like to take a moment to welcome each and every student to the
best high school I have found: BHS! I am proud and excited to begin my
third year with your children and all our families. I thank the Bayless Board
of Education for allowing me to lead this wonderful school into another
academic year and for providing the resources and leadership needed to
improve our schools.
Bayless High School has a mission to ensure that ALL students will
succeed and make a positive contribution to both our high school and the
greater society. We want every child to graduate: Smart, Good, and
Strong.
Our goals for the 2012-2013 school year are many, and they include
providing students with both a relevant and rigorous curriculum through
individualized instructional practices. Some of our students will commence
their first year, while others prepare to complete their last. Whether
freshman or senior, we remain focused on meeting the individual needs of
all our students. With small class sizes, personalized services, and a safe
and well-disciplined learning environment, I am confident that you will find
Bayless High School to be a positive experience for your family.
Students, you are the major reason that our school continues to grow and
change. Many of you have successfully met the challenges asked of you.
Your participation in clubs and extra-curricular activities helps define our
school and culture. Through your actions you demonstrate pride,
togetherness, concern, and happiness, as well as your determination and
commitment to “The Bayless Way.” We are proud of your many
accomplishments!
Parents, we look forward to your support at our conferences, athletic
events, activities, performances, concerts, and other special events
scheduled for the upcoming year. Please remind people in your community
that during the past year we secured the financial resources needed to build
a stronger district and better schools. Remind your neighbors that the
Bayless School District is fully accredited by the State of Missouri and the
Federal government.
Our high school continues to be a safe place where the dreams of all kids
can, and will, come true. We are proud of how our high school faculty and
staff continue to look for ways to serve students, families, and the Bayless
community. We will continue this effort with new individuals in charge of
many different functions at BHS in the upcoming year. Please feel free to
visit us often. We welcome you and your input and interest in your child’s
education.
I look forward to working with parents and students while reaching our goal
that every graduate is: Smart, Good and Strong! We will continue to
support each other as we develop our most prized possessions, our young
adults.
Please review the enclosed materials that provide important information
about the start of school. Feel free all us at 314-256-8660 if you have any
questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Mr. S. Patrick McEvoy, Ed.S.
