Free and Reduced Meals
Public Release August 2, 2021
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) for the 2021-2022 regular school year. This is the same program Bayless School District operated last school year. This program allows all students to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch, regardless of income status. However, unlike last year, BSD will be requesting all families return the Free & Reduced Meal Applications.
BSD is asking for the Free & Reduced Meal Application to be submitted because the District’s state funding is directly affected by the number of those applications processed. Therefore, it is important that parents submit the Free & Reduced Meal Application forms to BSD again.
If a student chooses to eat a second meal and/or any ala carte items, those items will be charged at regular price.
If you have any questions regarding the Free and Reduced Meal Application, please call Ms. Kathy Mernah at 314-256-8606 or contact her by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
