About the Board
The Bayless School Board is a key part of the "public" in public education. District voters elect the seven board members to represent the public's views on how education should be governed at the local level. Each board member serves a term for which they are elected. Board members are responsible for establishing the District's goals and policies and are the governing body on adoption of school budgets and all fiscal matters. It's the job of the superintendent, who represents the board, and the District staff to carry out the board's wishes. The board welcomes and encourages public participation during its meetings. Members believe that good schools and the community nourish each other and that active citizen interest guarantees the excellence of public schools.

Times and Procedure Relating to Board Meetings The public is invited to attend all meetings of the Board of Education. Special Meetings and Workshops are scheduled as needed and dates are posted on the district's website calendar.
Regular Monthly Meetings
Meetings are typically held the 3rd Wednesday of each month except as noted below. Regular meetings begin at 7 PM. Bayless Board Meetings will be held in the Elementary Library.
